Urgent Care Plan Programme December Newsletter

The Urgent Care Plan enables every Londoner to have their care and support wishes digitally shared with healthcare professionals across the capital.

Thank you for your support in 2022

Over the course of 2022, hundreds of colleagues across London have contributed to the design, build and delivery of the Urgent Care Plan. Designing and delivering a digital solution of this scale in just 7 months is a huge achievement for London, and it would not have been possible without your continued support, trust, patience, and your skills. Since the Urgent Care Plan has been live, 7,350 new care plans have been created. This means that on an average day, over 50 new Londoners will have their care and support wishes made digitally available to emergency services and professionals providing them with care. Our colleagues in urgent care services continue to view care plans on a regular basis, with 7,152 care plan views since go-live.

On behalf of the Urgent Care Plan Programme team, we would like to thank you all for your continued support throughout 2022 and we look forward to working with you in 2023 to expand the UCP and continue improving care for Londoners.

UCP support over Christmas and New Year

The UCP Helpdesk team will support users over the Christmas period as usual.  The team are available Monday-Friday from 09:00-17:00 with the exception of bank holidays on the 26th & 27th December and 2nd January. Users should continue to submit queries online via the Contact form on the UCP website.

Valida

The helpdesk can be contacted on 020 3880 0285 to support with any issues that EMIS and TPP users trying to access via the Valida plug on, including where accounts are locked.  A fix has been identified for the locked account issue, and we anticipate that this will be released in January 2023.  Organisations with multiple EMIS CDB numbers, such as users in Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust will be able to access using the Valida plug on in January.

Data Reporting and Business Intelligence

We are pleased that the DPIAs to share information for data reporting purposes have now been implemented by all 5 London ICBs. The data warehouse is currently in development and we are hoping to publish the first utilisation report at the end of January.

January developments

In January the UCP Professional Dashboard will become available, which will allow users to create and filter patient lists. This development will be available for UCP Web Portal users and materials for how to use the dashboard will be published on its release.

We are also excited to begin the development of new clinical templates. We have received a lot of interest from various clinical groups across London who have expressed their enthusiasm for using the UCP technology to document personal care and support plans for patients with health and wellbeing needs such as frailty, dementia, learning disabilities and mental health. A workshop is being hosted in January to understand these use cases in more detail and identify groups of stakeholders who are ready to begin the design process.

On behalf of the Urgent Care Plan Programme we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

See you in 2023.
