2024 was a significant year for the UCP team, and we look forward to building on this momentum in 2025 to further strengthen the UCP as a future-ready platform, making a positive difference for even more Londoners.
New go live date for the UCP expansion!
The UCP platform will be updated on Tuesday 21st January between 6pm and 10pm. Starting from Wednesday 22nd January, users will see the expanded template, supporting personalised care planning, when they log into the UCP.
During the update there will be downtime which will prevent users from viewing or creating care plans from external systems or the UCP web portal. However, users can still access UCP PDFs via the London Care Record (HIE).
As part of the launch, we will be re-deprecating support for Internet Explorer (IE). We understand this will impact a small number of users from editing UCPs via the London Care Record (HIE). We have been working closely with organisations that are likely to be impacted to ensure users have an alternative access route.
We are continuing to actively pursuing a long term solution. If you need any support, please contact the UCP helpdesk.
Visit our website for training resources and our key messages about the UCP expansion.

UCP Monthly Report

The UCP in care homes
Since September, we’ve been collaborating with the Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London to increase UCP awareness in care homes across London and look at ways we can enable care home staff to use the UCP.
The HIN team has gathered valuable insights from a variety of stakeholders and has developed resources specifically designed to address barriers and support care home staff. All of the resources will be available on our website’s learn page from midday next Monday, 20th January.
Later this month, we’re also hosting a ‘Learn and Share’ event to bring together stakeholders involved in the project so they can share their experiences.
A big thank you to everyone who has been involved in the project – we are really grateful for all your contributions!
