EMIS Access

The Universal Care Plan is accessible directly from EMIS using a piece of software called the Valida Client. The Valida Client allows the exchange of data between the UCP and EMIS, for certain SNOMED coded data fields. Click the button above for the full list.

How do we install Valida and set it up with EMIS?

Valida is a piece of software that allows EMIS users to access care plans via their EMIS system. Valida needs to be installed on the devices that will be accessing the UCP. EMIS will also need to be set up to interact with Valida.

How to register for UCP access from EMIS using Valida

The steps to register for access to the UCP using EMIS and Valida are as follows:

Smartcard usersclick here

Non-smartcard users: you will need to register for access by completing this form and returning it to the UCP helpdesk, to be issued with your login details.

Non-smartcard users that use EMIS with multiple CDB numbers: you will need to register for access by completing this form and returning it to the UCP helpdesk, to be issued with your login details.
